Schedule your first appointment.

After scheduling your first appointment, you will be sent electronic consent forms that take about 10 minutes to complete. You will be sent an electonic personal link to our first virtual session meeting place and you will be given an estimate of any payment before our first meeting.

Personalized Plan.

During out initial session I’ll share how I can help you including a detailed plan and approximate time frame for services. On average most people feel better within the first few sessions and most clients utilize 16-26 sessions to conclude services.

Weekly Appointments

After our initial session we will meet weekly to work on your personal plan as weekly appointments are correlated with better outcomes. We will work weekly to address arising concerns and making changes as needed to help you feel better sooner. You will leave therapy with a plan to maintain new status of well-being and self-care will be encouraged throughout services.

How did you pick the name Thriving Mariposa Online Counseling Services?

Thriving was chosen as a reminder to me of all the hard stricken souls I have met on this journey and is a way of honoring their healing and their stories to go from surviving their situation to Thriving. Mariposa is a Spanish word that means Butterfly to symbolize the wonderful transformation one works through on their healing and therapeutic journey.

Is teletherapy the same quality of care as face-to-face therapy?

Teletherapy provides equal if not better outcomes as in-person therapy services. Keep in mind Teletherapy is not for everyone and is largely dependent on the therapists comfort level and experience with the teletherapy platform. Client’s really benefit from not having to drive to appointments, pay out all that money for gas, or worry about driving through hazardous weather on those Michigan roads in the winter. In addition, teletherapy can take place via a laptop or any mobile device, and appointments can be made at your convenience 24/7 via this website.

How long will it take before I begin to feel better?

The goal is to help you to begin feeling better as soon as possible and many client’s begin to see a change in the first couple of sessions. I provided short term therapy online services that typically can last on average anywhere between 16 weeks and 26 weeks depending on your individual needs, and this varies with every situation.
